Because I got a late start, so, I cooked it partly on the stove top and the rest in the oven. This is by far the best pork carnitas I have ever made. I used a different dry rub, but was very similar to your recipe. In the end, there was so much broth that it became a soup. I took all of the meat out of the pot, skimmed the fat, thickened it with masa flour, and voila. What a treat. I have shared the recipe with others already.
